Have you ever watched a Mickey Mouse cartoon and noticed that Mickey himself only shows up for a few minutes, or even seconds, while characters like Pluto or Goofy have all the screentime? The problem with Mickey Mouse cartoons is that after a point, they weren't even Mickey Mouse cartoons anymore. He'd get top billing for a mere 8 minutes of screentime of doing absolutely nothing, while all the humor is lobbed off towards Pluto getting the crap beaten out of him by some random woodland animal. I don't hate Mickey Mouse at all, but when you get down to it, he was actually a pretty boring character.
